Endoscopic Doppler

The VTI Endoscopic Doppler System is a sound breakthrough in the treatment of acute peptic ulcer hemorrhage. By incorporating a probe that can be passed down a 2.8mm or larger endoscopic channel, this system identifies persistent blood flow in an ulcer base after hemostatic treatment. Clinical studies demonstrate that ulcers that are Doppler positive after treatment are at significantly increased risk for recurrent hemorrhage. With this previously unattainable marker, endoscopists can now make immediate clinical judgements about the need for additional therapy.

Doppler Applications
Acute Peptic Ulcer Hemorrhage

Additional GI Applications
Prior to removal of large polyps
Evaluation of vascular malformations
           (ex. Diuelafoy’s lesion)
Evaluation of varices
Prior to complicated sphincterotomy
