Doppler Probes

Just about every surgical specialty is served by VTI Doppler Probes. Whether you need to locate, identify or avoid blood vessels, VTI has a doppler probe that is right for your application. Doppler probes are used by Vascular Surgeons when performing a bypass graft to verify flow in an anastomosis and to locate vessels in scar tissue; Urologists use them in a varicocele ligation to differentiate arteries from veins; Cardiovascular Surgeons employ Doppler probes for CABG's to verify flow in an anastomosis and to locate the IMA in scar tissue; and Laparoscopic Surgeons use Doppler probes during a cholecystectomy to locate the cystic artery.

Disposable Doppler Probes or Reposable. Disposable probes are used once and discarded. With cost-effective reposable probes, the tip is discarded after each use and its reusable handpiece is autoclaved. In either case, a VTI Doppler Probe is ready to verify technical results, even in your most challenging cases. It's an advantage that's usually unattainable with common transcutaneous Doppler devices.

Nurses applaud the convenience and safety of VTI Doppler Probes. The Doppler probe quickly becomes an essential component on your OR procedure tray. With either disposable or reposable VTI Doppler Probes, there's no longer the need to perform time-consuming ETO sterilization, with all the inherent health risks. And ETO sterilization is a process that frequently causes irreversible damage to the traditional Doppler probes.

Hospital administrators are delighted by the savings of Doppler probes. Advantages include fewer replacements of conventional doppler probes damaged during sterilization, OR time saved and the reduction of costly angiograms and other specialty procedures.
